August 12th, 2014 (Broken Bow, OK USA) Bell Lumber & Pole is pleased to announce it has entered into a definitive agreement with the Broken Bow/Craig Industrial Authority to lease and acquire up to 209 acres including a former manufacturing facility.

Located in the south easternmost corner of Oklahoma, the site and facility sits in a key region of commercial and private timberlands holding southern yellow pine utility poles and other timber resources. The location also possesses direct rail access to the Burlington Northern Santa Fe, Union Pacific and Kansas City Southern rail lines as well as excellent road access. In its first phase of development, Bell anticipates utilizing the site for a pole operation and distribution facility.

Bell’s new facility will add numerous direct employment positions plus many other jobs for support and contractor related opportunities in the region.

This manufacturing and distribution facility is a long-term commitment by Bell to the economic development of the Broken Bow/Craig area and has had the backing of the public sector.

“We have been most fortunate to work with the welcoming spirit of the Industrial Authority, City, and specifically the City of Broken Bow Manager, Vickie Pieratt. Their openness, creativity and enthusiasm to attract us to this excellent location were significant influence-rs in our decision,” shared Tom Bell, President and Owner of Bell Lumber & Pole. “We are very excited about investing in Oklahoma.”

While it will be immediately utilized, the new facility is targeted to be fully operational in the first part of 2015.
